In short
Epic Portal only sets cookies that it needs to work: to sign you in, keep your session secure and remember your cookie choices. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and none from third parties.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Strictly necessary cookies are the ones a site cannot work without, which is why the law does not require your consent for them. We still tell you about them here and in the cookie notice.
The cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
epic-portal-session | Keeps you signed in and remembers this visit. | 120 minutes after your last visit |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | 120 minutes after your last visit |
remember_web_…remember_client_… | Keeps you signed in between visits when you tick "Keep me signed in". | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out |
cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choices. | 6 months |
All of them are first-party cookies, set by portal.epicalgorithms.com. The session and sign-in cookies are encrypted and marked so that scripts on the page cannot read them.
Browser storage
Inside the portal, your browser's local storage may remember display preferences such as the theme or reduced motion. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Third parties
The public pages load fonts from Google Fonts. That request shares your IP address with Google so it can deliver the font files, but it does not set cookies for us. When you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, you leave Epic Portal for their sign-in page, where their own cookie policies apply.
Managing cookies
You can see this list, and change your choices, at any time under in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, but the portal will not be able to sign you in without the strictly necessary ones.
